Seven years and I never read that article before. I'd say more about it, but I think it deserves a thorough reading from everybody. |

On a related note, something I learnt about printers recently is that most, if not all printers will print a "signature" of sorts that isn't visible to the naked eye. This can be used to track down the printer it was printed off of. Apparently this has something to do with preventing forgeries.
So you never know exactly what is in place that's used to spy on our activities ![]() Anyway, I was late reading that NSA article too. It's dated 1999 but I remember reading it last year. Coupled with recent news that they're spying on American phone conversations... grah. Not to mention this guff about the government wanting Google to turn in their database ![]() What a crazy country.

At least it isn't affecting Win 3.1, but does this mean they're spying on our pics, games and other stuff on our computers?

Wait, If this means what I think it means (I only skim read it) then it means that NSA is spying on what we look at and do on the internet and computers.
2 things: Does it also apply to computers in the UK, and isn't that kind of/very illegal? It's invasion of privacy isn't it? |

It's massively illegal, yes. I'm not sure, but it seems to come with EVERY version of windows so I'd imagine that to be worldwide. I have no confirmation on that, however.

Heh, if they are spying on you, then you can spy onthem. All server computers can look into the main one. I do it all the time with VNC at my school, but the NSA probably has better security. If you were a good enough hacker, you could spy back on them. My friend got a detention from November to December everyday after school for hacking and finding out the admin password, but he didnt do anything with it. Hacking is risky, dont try to outwit the NSA.

The government doesn't want to see what's on my computer. That's why they haven't come to restrain me yet.
