I hate to be nit-picky with ya, Rare, but having 102% worth of items in DKC2 is frustrating.

This is the conversation I had with my cousin.

"Hey, guess what? I've been replaying DKC2!"
{Hey, I was playing that game not long ago!}
"Really? That's weird. Have you been trying to 100% it like I have?"
{Yup.}
"Have you?"
{Nup, but I did 102% it.}
"How did that happen?"
{No idea. But it's pretty cool to say that I beat a game 102%}

So, when I got home I looked it up.

After all that, I have another 2 percent to go?

Dam it.

Why not keep it simple and only have 100%

Yes, I am fully aware that you can unlock 103% in DKC3 and 101% in DKC, so it's kinda keeping a tradition, but why have it there in the first place?

*Sigh* And that's is the end of my rant.

Anyone else have anything to say about this 102%?

Yeah, it never made sense. DK64's made sense because you could get a sixth Golden Banana on DK Isle for Tiny, but I never understood the DKC series.

I personally don't mind it. If I remember right, it has to do with visiting all of the Kongs, which isn't too bad. That extra 2% could be a lot harder to get. I think DKC3 actually can go to 105% if you use the cheat for no save barrels, but don't hold me on that one.

Holy crap, you're right. I jsut read it on wikipedia. With save barrels and DK barrels durned off, you CAN get 105%. You'd have to be a freaking uber nerd beyond uber nerds to get that. There's a run of someone 105%ing it on youtube, I think.

I think its kind of cool to be able to go over 100%. Then again, the only DK game I tried for completion on was DK 64. I usually just played through the country games until the ending, and didn't really worry about my percent.
