So, the other day my father was looking through his collection of old boxes. He's a huge pack rat, he saves anything and everything that might be of use at some point in time.

In one of these boxes was another box, in pretty decent condition. It dated back to the 1970s. Inside this box was a "Sears Pinball-Breakaway." Thinking it might be worth something, he had me look it up online. I found the exact same Atari rip-off. It was said that there were quite a few thought to exist in the world, so that would make his yet another one found in the world. Knowing it might be worth playing, we brought it to a professional retailer to make it hook up to a current TV, if possible.

After not getting the adapter to make it work, I looked up the price of both an adapter and then after, "Sears Pinball-Breakaway"

About $50-$70.

It's back in it's original box now (If you think you can have it, gtfo), and will until we find an adapter. He's expecting it to get dust very quickly.

Needless to say, my father is an average adult so he has no interests in playing video games (though if we get it working, he wants to try it again). He's giving the "Sears Pinball-Breakaway" to me.

The true strength of a parody thread vastly depends on which thread you're parodying, the content of the parody thread, and its overall humor.

I'll give you a B+, C-, and C for your efforts, respectively, in this thread de parody.

Eh, it wasn't intended to be all that funny. I've never done a parody thread before- I was testing the field of parody.

I did not realize such a field was serious business, Tooie. I see I've quite a bit to learn, still, even after reading other parody threads for a year and a half.
