HELP! Wii 4.2u downgrading...

I made the mistake of upgrading my Wii to firmware 4.2. I've downloaded the package that includes WAD Manager 1.5, IOS Downgrader 1.0, and AnyRegionChanger. The first step, uninstalling the IOS 249 stub, doesn't work for me. I choose IOS 250, as it says to do, then my Wii Remote automatically turns off and my Wii freezes. I've also tried WAD manager with IOS 223, 222, 249, and 254. None of them worked. What am I doing wrong, or is there an easier way to downgrade my wii?

I don't follow that sort of thing, but perhaps the hackers haven't cracked the latest firmware yet...

Ofcourse, it sounds like your wanting to play pirated games so don't know if there are many people around today that will help you with that.

I suggest you try forums that still talk about "how-to-pirate" and such.

Assuming you arn't going to pirate games; what do you need to downgrade for?

You're awfully quick to jump to conclusions, aren't you? Nowhere does he mention pirating.

That is my point.

I would figure that if somebody was going to pirate something they wouldn't admit it straight off the bat.

Truth be told though, even if it was for non-piracy stuff, the temptation would always be there.

Out of all these apps, you think it's reasonable to accuse him of piracy? Homebrew has far more functions than just pirating games, you know.

To tell the truth, the things he's trying to install DO point to piracy more so than just installing homebrew.

Downgrading is the Stupidest Thing I heard about something of Wii

If you want to Install HBChannel, get stuff that work with 4.2

He doesn't want the Homebrew Channel... He wants to install WADs obviously, which normally requires an IOS, which in some cases requires downgrading.
