Why they chose to make the costume CGI I will never understand.

On the upside, if CGI is used to render weirder, bulkier costumes, the actors will have an easier job to do and more freedom to do it in.

mmm, I am left a little dissapointed :/ I think it was his eyes and the mask that is covering his face. As for the costume? sexy as! Ryan Reynolds is probably the most attractive man ever.
*will be seeing the movie* |

^ You should see his wife
![]() Anyway, I think the costume looks pretty cool, not massively keen on the new eyethingys. The CGI suit could work wonders (They pulled it off for some of the stuff in Spiderman, I think...) and be impressive, but I need to see it in motion first.

I have only one question: Why Ryan Reynolds, of all people they could have chosen? Seriously.

Well, why not? He's got the right build and is very charismatic. Who did you have in mind?

No one in particular, but he's just so... random for a movie like this. Looking at his other movies, you can't really compare them to this. I'm not saying he's not worthy or a bad choice, (I'm not going to judge before I see him in character on the screen), but as I said before, it's a random choice for the Green Lantern film.

Well, since this is clearly a big superhero movie, one assumes they picked someone good for it. They wouldn't drop the ball on something this big. Hollywood may be stupid, but they aren't that stupid.

Hopefully this follows in the steps of Spiderman 2, Iron Man, and (probably least likely) the new Batman movies. I know nothing about the Green Lantern, just as I knew nothing about most superheroes before I saw their movies, and I always enjoy watching a good origin story and awaiting the sequels... however, I wouldn't mind a superhero epic where the origin, arch, and climax is done in a 3 hour spectacular or something.

Hal Jordan was a test pilot for the US Air Force until one day he meets a dying alien who gives him a special green ring. After that, Jordan is accepted into the Green Lantern Corps, basically space cops from many different planets that uphold law and order in the galaxy. That's pretty much the gist of it. A cop show... in space! With aliens! Adventure ho! Oh, and this is the Green Lanterns' mantra: In brightest day, In blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might Beware my power; Green Lantern's light! I still feel pangs of boyish glee when I read those lines.
