Yeah, I've been taking a lot of pictures. This is just a small piece of a batch.

Not to sound like a jackass, but I never understood photography as an artistic medium. To take photos artistically doesn't really take much skill from the photographer. He just needs to know how to stand still and have deep pockets to afford high-res (or ancient) cameras. I've done some photography myself, but I never just took pics of random things I saw. It was all stuff I staged myself and I edited it all in photoshop anyway. I can see why it'd be fun, though. I mean, I get a kick out of taking snapshots with my phone and while I wish it was higher res, I'm not going to pay 600 bucks just so I can get the street to look pretty. I don't know. I just don't really get it.

You don't have to dig deep to take good pictures. My camera's ~$200 and is probably less now. And the pictures aren't really about the random objects; I took them with the intention of capturing the warm colors.

But I see your point.

I started work on my first animation that isn't just a test. I haven't drawn ANYTHING (not even pencil, since that last thing I drew for a thread here) in a long time, but I always try to put in as much detail as I can. The whole thing is supposed to be scenes from different times in the day in my room (that's not the storyline, it's the setting), mostly using this angle. I made everything based on my room, so it's a bit accurate. I'm gonna start animating bodies and such after finalizing a script and recording. I'm having everything hand drawn (not such a big fan of motion tweens with shapes. It's not unique enough!). The following image may not be the final image, but it's what I got so far. It's 16 layers.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

That was nice! I'd like to see some animation in that room!(god that sounded wrong..)
You did good for the bedroom. I can't wait to see an animation if you make one!
