Smile Hey, is Narnia good?

'Cuz I bought it about two hours ago. Big honkin' volume, all seven books, twenty bucks.

I'm not in it for the Christian moralizing, but the more I learn about Lewis, the more fascinating a guy he seems.

Anything I should look forward to?

I've read some of them. Pretty good.

Yeah they're good stuff. Once you've read the first few, be sure to check out the films.

I saw the first film a while ago, actually.

I remember thinking it was pretty decent, but can't recall anything specific about it.

It's interesting I guess. Relies on Deus ex Machina a little too much in my opinion.

"Deeper magic" my ass.

Saw the first movie time ago, it was "meh" at best. Don't really know about the books.

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe also bothered because of some blatant sexism in the book (I don't really remember if it was in the movie), but that's an argument for another time.

A bloody good book series..

Though I recommend you read them in publishing order
Lion
Caspian
Voyage
Chair
Horse
Magician's
Battle

Make more sense in that order

That and I am frothing at the mouth to see the new movie.
Seriously
This series is fantasy done right..

I read a few of them, and liked them, though Voyage of the Dawntreader was rather boring

I love them. They really take me back to my childhood. I've been reading them since I was little.

I REALLY want to re-read them now... But the last time I read them I didn't know how to say half the words.

Likewise with Harry Potter.

Very good and original pieces of work. I haven't finished them, but from what I read they're excellent.

I read them all years ago. I liked em, but nothing really stood out to me. Now, HP on the other hand has been re-read at least 6-7 times for each book .

IIRC the characters spent a lot of time talking in that book about the fact THAT THEY WERE ON A MOTHER ****ING BOAT.
