Holy shit. Holy shit. This may be by far the most bad ass Magical Girl anime to ever happen ever. It's by Shaft, and if you know anything about anime studios, everything Shaft touches becomes either an acid trip, bad ass, or both. It's both in this case. I trolled around YouTube looking for a trailer, but all I could find was really misleading trailers that would make this look like another Precure or of the same vein as Tokyo Mew Mew. Trust me,so far (after admittedly only one episode) it's closer to Death Note than it is your typical Mahou Shoujo anime. Oh God, it's amazing.

Yes! Oh ho ho man! Also, Death Note was a weird comparison. It's certainly dark, but it's more like...Trigun.

EDIT: No. Not Trigun. Shit. Well, it's a Shaft show. It's going to be really hard to find a comparison point.

Actually, I've started watching this. Only the 1st ep so far (I'm spreading my attention between a lot of series atm) but I'll be sure to catch up soon.

I was watching the 2nd ep today, I like the background music, reminds me of FFCC and that of the anime movie King of Thorn (which I recommend btw). I think I'll watch the rest of them now, seeing I've already catched up with all the other series I'm currently following.

In regard to it's pink and girly asthetic I have to agree that it's not what it seems and that it's truly interesting and entertaining to watch, it gets my approval and recommendation.

Edited brusk to it's correct spelling. You can also replace it with rough if you like that better, please excuse my clumsy english, some words are pretty easy to misspell due to similarities with other languages.

And it was anticlimatic because it just sort of happened with her just standing still and it didn't even seem that big of a deal. It's not in a pejorative sense, it made it surprising which is good.

Yeah. It totally isn't really anticlimactic because that scene becomes more or less the entire motivating factor for the rest of the series so far. It's a ridiculously important event that gets referenced all the time because...well, that should be obvious.

Also, I legit forgot that English isn't your first language.

oh wow i completely forgot about this anime because i didn't really remember seeing much interesting anime on this seasons lineup

i'll probably give this a watch when i go on another anime watching binge

i've liked all the shaft anime I've seen so far (which is really only just Pani Poni Dash! and Bakemonogatari) so I'll probably like this

Kyubey is a little ****er, always with it's inmutable kawaii face. I swear the creepy thing knows more than it tells and has some obscure purpose totally opposite to its white color.
