I just graduated high school.
Yup, that's right. Got my diploma and everything.
The ceremonies were so long and drawn out, but it was still great either way. And we had to wear purple robes, lmao. I think the best thing about the ceremonies was that I managed to get both my mom's family and my dad's family to be there, AND sit next to each other (they're divorced). So it was all fun and dandy. I don't think it's completely sunk in for me yet. But when it does I'll be like "Oh shit!". So is anyone else graduating this year or am I the only one?

Congratulations, man! Graduating school really gives you a great feeling. I graduated high school two years ago. It was a bit emotional for me, because I graduated from a private school that I had been in for a while. It had grades all the way from preschool to 12th grade. I had been there since elementary (third grade), and some of my old friends were still there, so I had to say goodbye to some people that I knew for many years.
I hope you have an awesome future ahead of you.

My sister's college graduation was last year, and for some reason, they didn't play Pomp and Circumstance when they walked in. I was surprised and disappointed.

Well, actually, I graduated yesterday, not today. I've just been lagging behind. Like I said, it hasn't quite sunk in for me yet. It's that, and I've been partying the past two nights. Just got back from my second one.
Meanwhile, I think one of the best things about graduating (besides finally being out of high school) is the graduation gifts/money. I managed to raise enough to buy me a new laptop. I also got a $100 giftcard to gamestop from my beyond amazing girlfriend, man I love that girl  . And I still have more money coming in.

Congrats, I graduated in 2007 and havent stopped studying since.
I recently got my Diploma of Marine Studies and Coxwains. Hopefully going to Uni later this year.

Anyway, congratulations. I've always loved the fact Americans actually celebrate finishing school with ceremonies and diplomas, we just have exams and then are told you don't have to come back.
