The original two are my favorites. EWJ3-D...not so much. It was good, just not as good as the others.

I shall now post my favorite question from the trivia quiz in the second game:

"What color is Jim's big red gun?
A. Blue
B. Red
C. Green
"

Green, of course, being the correct answer.

I love the original one. The second one was good too, but I like the first one the most.

The 3D one I didn't like, though.

Ah yes, Earthworm Jim. What an awesome series. So brilliant and original, not to mention very funny. When I was little, we rented the SNES games, and I used to watch the cartoon too. Now I own the second game, but not the first, although I hope to get it sometime.

I've never played the 3D one, but I have heard things about it that... well, ruined my interest.

I want to see Earthworm Jim get taken by Rare and Rare just make that game even better.

The original one frustrated the hell out of me... damn 'Down the Tubes' level.

2 had the best music aswell as the awsome levels 'Puppy Love' parts 1 2 & 3...

3D followed along the lines of the cartoon too much... and in my opinion, the cartton just wasn't funny...

My Favorite was EWJ1 and the Level (2): What the Heck?
The music on that stage is very memorable.

This is a pic of me with the person responsible for Earthworm Jim's Music!!!

I met him last month at a Pop Culture Expo that i've been going to for the last 3 years (Sci-fi/Anime/Cosplay/Comics/Videogames etc...) called Supanova where he was promoting Video Games Live.

He was very cool to talk to
Something of Note: He also did Metroid Prime 1 and 2's sound effects! (But was uncredited)
And look at his awesome Spiderman shirt!!

I agree with Roystein, the second "Tubes" level was awfully bad designed.
I'm glad I played the PC Special Edition, where they decided to add a secret room where you can skip that level and get an extra life at same time
Also, the version had some extra stages, I recomend tracking it down. EJ1 is my fav, specially with that "Chicken-Terminator of sorts" boss and the last boss is that big arsed ant from the cartoon, her rear covers the whole screen, LOL! I also love EJ2, because the gameplay is so varied. The "avoid the falling grannies" minigame, anyone?
Personally I didn't like the cartoon very much. The cartoon failed to be as crazy and random as the game. Maybe because it was aimed to younger audiences, I think.
Btw, EJ3D wasn't made by the same team from the 2D ones, the original team moved on to make Skullmonkeys and Neverhood. EJ3D was really disappointing, IMO.

Also, even if you never played EJ2, you should check the Quiz questions. It's hilarious! Click in this link, it'll take you to GameFaqs, then click on the Quiz Questions Faq.
