Gamecube codes[PAL mostly]
Been a bit stale on code sharings lately, so here's some Gamecube codes i made to make up for my recent inactivity.
i used Dolphin, along with Tsearch to find them, as i don't have the neccessary tools to make cheats on actual console, and I'm currently learning at ASM hacking. Most of them are RAW(unencrypted), so they can't be used on the Gamecube Action Replay, but i'm on my way to encrypt and test them all. (Speaking about Dolphin, it is an GCN/Wii/Triforce emulator for PC, capable of booting up and running most, if not all commercial Gamecube and Wii games. Just wanted to clarify this.) Edit: You know, I'll be keeping this topic, as i've changed my mind about what i wrote earlier. Also haven't been arsed to make code topics for the GC games, so i see no reason for giving them separate threads. Will organize the codes soon so they're all in one place instead of just all spread out. Last edited by ConkerGuru; 25th December 2011 at 05:08 PM. |

Try and get the Pikmin debug menu.
You could also try using GCNcrypt to convert the codes to action replay format too.

Haven't owned Pikmin unfortunately, so i can't be certain if there would be a Debug menu in it. But i'll see to it later when i get ahold of an iso copy of Pikmin from the net.(which i know is illegal, but i don't have any else choice.)
I'll give GCNcrypt another go, and dig out my old Gamecube again for testing the codes i encrypt, find out if the AR accepts them, unless if the verifier line is wrong. However i don't really know how much longer my Action Replay disc will last, because it's getting old, and has alot of scratches, and the version of my disc is 1.14A, which is very hard to find these days. But i'll see if i can boot it again. Still though, thanks for the advice.

On Unseen64 I think, someone had found a debug menu like the one in Smash Brothers Melee, but didn't know how to go about making a code for it if I recall correctly.
I've only got the AR that won't let you enter codes, so I'm not going to be able to help test those unfortunately.

I would love to see if the melee debug menu could be used . As well as any way of activating the beta platforms in Hyrule Temple.

I saw the topic about the Debug Menu in Pikmin at the Unseen64 forums, and the guy who discovered the text for it said the Debug Menu is located in the game's boot.dol file, for the NTSC version it seems. I'll give it a try once i get the Pikmin iso, and see if i can find a code to enable it.
As for my code testing progress, i've got a few of them to work. The codes i managed to get working are listed below.(why i included the verifier line in the decrypted codes is only for reference) note; the codes which has "(Working)" above them means i tested them on the Gamecube with successful results. the ones that say "(untested)" mean i haven't yet tried them, and the games/codes not shown on list i've yet got to encrypt and test on real hardware) Code:

I literally bought my AR for Gamecube the week after they removed the Add Code feature.
If you do find a code for that debug menu, do let us know.

Sweet lookin' LM codes 'ya got there . I'll have to try them out when I get the chance.
If you're ever seriously, seriously, seriously bored, I would absolutely love you if you looked into a code that could replace models for LM. It's great that you're hackin' away at the GC, since everyone's moved onto the Wii nowadays.

Finally got a PAL Wario World ISO, and had a look at the BGM section of the Debug menu. 9-10 are ending jingles, and 6, 19, 29, and 34 are sub-game themes.

I finally found the code to access the Debug Menu in Pikmin, along with some object test screen. Here's the code:
Debug Menu(NTSC V1.1)[by C.Guru] R7RH-6BYQ-6QUW3 HJ4F-HEJZ-ACKEN 0Z7C-29CE-0C1BC Hold d-pad UP as you choose "start" on the title screen Decrypted 04CE7DB2 08000000 0A39D400 00000008 0439D9A8 00000005 Model Test(NTSC V1.1)[by C.Guru] DYVN-N3H4-EUZPC 880G-PJRG-28P2Z 3YDY-1THF-8P12U Hold d-pad UP as you choose "start" on the title screen Decrypted 04CE068E 08000000 0A39D400 00000008 0439D9A8 00000003 same code, without the top line 0A39D400 00000008 0439D9A8 000000XX XX-the screen the code loads Code:
00-Title screen(actually the 50hz/60hz preference screen, but since the game probably already passed it, it goes straight to the title screen instead) 01-Title screen 02-gameplay demo 03-model test 04-Memory card checking screen 05-Debug Menu 06 and up just crashes the game. Option1=Brings up the selection box from the title screen. setting 0 to 1 adds the "Challenge mode" option. Option2=Brings up an voyage log test. The unused Olimar monolog(29) is also here, along with an untranslated one(10) and some sort of test(152) Option3=Save game screen(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option4=Some sort of sprite test. C-stick pans the screen. setting (0) to (1) makes the upper right "5" symbol movable with the control stick. Option5=memory card warnings(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option6=Ship Log Selection(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option7=Unlocked Voyage Logs. The unused Voyage Log message is in here.(splitted into 2 parts) (source for correction:tcrf.net) Option8=End of Day screen.(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option9=Pause menus.(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option10=Final statistics.(source for correction:tcrf.net) Option11="Press start" test. Pressing start returns you to the debug menu. If anything here needs correcting, let me know.

I was just thinking about it earlier today when i checked back in this thread. I'll look into making such a code. Could be some interesting stuff there.(perhaps also leftover models from early E3 footage?)

Oh wow. Seriously.
Mind if I pass this on to that person who was looking into it at Unseen64?

I'm the person from Unseen64, that Spyke was saying.
I want to thank you for making it, it's pretty hard to find someone who makes cheats. Well done, anyways. But what a strange Debug Menu, I know on the HEX, there is more debug menus for see it. And how I can use the model viewer? I didn't understand what you did post. Thanks, oh, I'm a unused/beta searcher, on Kirby Air Ride, there are 2 beta levels that doesn't load, can you help me for loading them? (it's the same debug menu as SSBM, so the code can be really similar, loading two stages that it's crashing, SIMPLE and TEST) |

0A39D400 00000002 0439D9A8 000000XX Change the XX to any of the values he posted in that table. For example, change XX to 03 for the model viewer. In the model viewer, use the C-Stick to change the animations, and the animation speeds. Press A to play the animation. Press start to go back to the title screen.
