Monstrous people

It can be so stressful. Do you have anyone in your life that's unbearable to live with sometimes? A parent or someone you have to deal with on a regular basis that's just so completely cruel or unfair? How do you get through it? I know we tend to think well of others but there's no denying that sometimes people can do or say awful things, over and over again even.

I am almost 20 years old and my parents basically let me do whatever and will pay for whatever I ask them for and ask for nothing in return

My mom's a pretty cool guy, except when she gets drunk (which lately is every other night or so because she's going through some hard times with her friends and her mother passed away a couple months ago). When she gets drunk, she plays her music obnoxiously loud (even if I'm downstairs trying to watch TV / record something / etc) and pulls the "EVEN MY DAUGHTER IS OUT TO GET ME I'M JUST TRYING TO HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" card when I ask her to turn it down.

Her drinking really bothers me, especially because she's on medication for trigeminal neuralgia (a condition that is, at its simplest, a pinched nerve in her face that causes her constant pain / headaches) and the combination could quite literally kill or disable her at any time. I've begged her to stop but her excuse is that it makes her happy. To be quite honest I feel like a failure as a daughter when I realize that no amount of reasoning with her or telling her how unhappy it makes me is going to make her stop.

I think her drinking contributed a lot to my self-esteem issues when I was younger as I had various ailments (mainly problems with my large intestine that made it hard for me to properly use the toilet that lasted until I was about eight) that, when she was drinking, stressed her out to the point of (most often) legal punishment (spanking and the like) when I didn't deserve it and (occasional; depending on her mood) physical abuse.

She also belittled me often; one of the more memorable incidents was, when I was 4 or 5, her throwing a diaper at me and telling me I deserved to wear it because I was no better than a baby. I was also exposed to sex at a very young age as I slept in my parents' bed until I was 4 or 5 and their bedroom until I was 6 and they often woke me up early in the morning by having very loud sex with each other when they thought I was asleep.

I think she's the best mother she can be, though, and I blame her bad personality on her drinking. I love her to pieces and I haven't exactly been the best daughter to her. I'm sorry for the extremely long post, but it's early in the morning and talking about my feelings is the best thing to do right now.

Fox News on constantly, political rants left and right, and forcing his beliefs down everyone's throat. He also goes by a constant rule of "my house, like it or get out" when it comes to managing money, and making decisions for everyone.

Do I get to choose my own car? Nope, I have to buy my Mom's clunky SUV.

My mom's got some mental disorder from a tainted childhood or something so she's PMSy, an ass in public, and legit can never even consider that she's wrong. We'll get into an argument over whether or not a 3rd degree burn hurts more. I'll say "Look at this article, it says that it hurts less because of nerve damage blah blah" and her response is "Here we go, 16 years old and we know everything". When she insults me it's retarded shit like "You're gay" (which everyone knows isn't true). So I insult her with fact and then later she'll be crying about it. My sister's doctor says that we might need a psycho-therapis to observe us to be able to diagnose my mom with the proper disorder. Yeah, she's somethin alright...

My step-dad is quite a monster... I can say so many things, so very many things about him.

Yesterday, my brother, sister and I were waiting to go out, we were going to pick up food. He comes in the room, starts yelling at my brother. Why? I have no idea. He starts shit, yelling at everyone, for no reason. One second, he'll be talking, and the next, he's yelling like a psychopath.

2 Saturdays ago, he kicked me out of the house. I was sitting at the table, eating a slice of pizza I bought for lunch. He comes out of his room, sits down near me at the weird bench thing we have at the table.

"What aren't you out looking for a second job?"
"I don't want to waste gas on a Saturday afternoon to go to places where they'll tell me to apply online."
"You can pressure wash the house for money."
"I don't need it."
"What have you been doing all day?"
"I mowed the lawn, weed-whacked the back yard and cleaned the bathroom."
"You have time to wash the house."
"I don't want to, I'm waiting to go somewhere."
"You will ****ing WASH THE HOUSE, OR YOU CAN FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE!!"

I tried to walk away, because there is no use in saying anything at all, even with him yelling at me to. He held me back, pushed me to the ground, threw my rent in my face and said "You're never allowed back here again."

That's a rough synopsis but you got it. :|

Another time after I got laid off (I was only off for a week but he is psychotic) he wakes me up in the morning to try to make me look for a job so I'm getting dressed, 3 minutes later he comes into my room and starts yelling at me out of nowhere, I told him to **** off, he pushes me down and starts choking me until I turn blue. "I'LL SNAP YOUR NECK!" "DO IT YOU'LL BE IN JAIL, YOU'LL BE BUBBA'S BITCH" after that he had no replies so I said, almost out of breath "I'm calling the cops" while still being choked out, he takes it out of my hand and smashes it into pieces on the wall. "You ever call the cops, you will regret it for the REST OF YOUR LIFE" and then he stormed out yelling "FIND A NEW PLACE TO LIVE"

My life is ****ed up.

Other times he's been in like, some type of place for insane people. Psychiatric hospital or something? I don't know. Apparently his dyslexia was gone when he went crazy, and apparently there, he ran around naked with a sign that said "Help Me" :I

My mom she's unreasonable most of the time but she is fun to be around when she's not angry...wich is all the time and when she's angry she brudes over it and stays angry all day

My little brother he's a typical teen unreasonable stuborn....like mom he gets mad easily he's...devolved..in a sense where he uses his muscle instead of his brain when he gets angry
he's very hard to live with most days every 5 seconds "can you had me that,pass me that,get me this get me that" he can do nothing himself

it's gotten to the point where most trips we go on without him are better trips

Jesus- sorry StarFox. I understand a situation where the 'you'll regret calling the police' would come in (if he was the main source of income for your family), but my god, part of me thinks you should've called the police anyway. Physical abuse... jesus christ.

You shouldn't wait for him to kick you out. You need to find a place now, before he does something REALLY bad.
