Help with a phone choice
I'm in the market to get a contract smartphone to replace my N6300 and I've narrowed my choices between two phones:
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc The HTC Desire HD I want help choosing, however because I suck at smartphones and there are multiple things to consider also. I don't know anything about Sony Ericsson, just throwing that out there now The HTC desire HD has an awful battery life, so I read, and I don't want to buy it on contract and be stuck with a phone that won't last the day for two years. So therefore, I need help. Contracts are: HTC Desire HD: £20 a month - 500 Minutes - 5000 Texts - 500MB Data Sony Ericsson Arc: £31 a month - 300 Minutes - Unlimited Texts - 1GB Data + 50MMS Bolt-on Edit: There's also an interest in the xperia ray but I am uncertain as I have heard it's difficult typing and what not. Edit Edit: I'm also open to any additional suggestions that you may have.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (the PlayStation phone, if you will) and it works beautifully. I therefore recommend the Sony phone.
But I also know nothing of that phone, so I'm extremely biased here.

Saw the words HTC Desire; no other words in that post needed to be seen. Get that one.
edit: upon actually reading your post. I will now help you make an informed decision. In my hand right now, is a sony ericson xperia arc. No, seriously, that's the phone I have. The battery life; which you posed concerns about; yeah it's utter cocking shit. It lasts less than a full day, so i turn the brightness on it down. Outside that; Amazing phone. However... It's no HTC Desire. I would trade for that phone in a ****ing instant; but rogers doesn't carry HTC phones. Last edited by Riot; 14th October 2011 at 04:01 AM.
