London Life (Warning: Not available in London)
So, around this time Professor Layton and the Last Specter, or Specters Flute, or Specters Call is coming out or is already out.
In this is an RPG called London Life, seperate to the actual game. It is available in Japan, it is available in America, it is even available in AUSTRALIA. But it's not available in England. It's not in the European release. You know. Europe. With the UK. With England. WITH LONDON. ****ING WHAT.

Yes. Yes they are.
Just not the 100 hour side RPG that everyone else gets that's a side part of the game.

Let me guess, they're doing that because they don't want to go through the effort of translating it to German and French.
Well, screw the Germans and French! They should just learn English as a secondary language like all other countries.

Well the weird thing about it is the fact that there is no fighting.

I think that's why. It annoys me.
Why not release a pure English version, and a European language version? You're barely spending any more money. It's because of stuff like this that Europe has missed out on a lot of games. Because companies decide that since they can't cater to all of the languages, they won't bother catering to a language that they've already done all the stuff for. So they just leave it rather than just have a release in English.

Europe doesn't get it because it already has London. If they wanted to experience London Life, they should just move there.

The thing is, regardless of an American English version we Englanders and Britons need to wait for it to be translated into German, French etc. And do you know what? They don't even turn it into British English for it's release in the United Kingdom. I really have no idea what the hell is going through their heads. They may as well sell American copies in the UK.

Although I can understand why not for this instance.
The American Luke is different to the English Luke. I hate the American Luke btw. But other things, like Re:Chain of Memories...no difference in voice actors... In fact my housemate is going to get his PS2 chipped so he can import Re:CoM so he doesn't have to play CoM.

Ironically in Europe everyone does learn English as a secondary language. Specially in Germany from what I understand.

^If only that were true, but my brother's French Girlfriend tells me otherwise. At most they have obligatory very basic English with which they can do as much as ask for directions and ask where the bathroom is.

Guys. I hate to bump a thread, but I just got this game.
When you talk to the woman in the department store, she says, "Keep in mind that we use the English numbering system for floors, like all good subjects of the crown. This floor is the ground (G) floor. The next floor up is the first floor, then the second and third. It differs from the system in the US, which I of course mention just out of interest, since we're all English here!" How funny, woman in the department store. How funny because nobody playing this game is in England. How funny.
