Paypal the Douchebags.

On the scale of dick moves, this is pretty high on the list.

The reason Paypal are allowed to act with brazen impunity like this is because they're not regulated. They're an American organisation, so it's up to you guys to lobby your Senators and Representatives to pull them back into line.

They tried to **** over Wikileaks and now they pull bullshit like this. It has to stop, and the pricks need to wake up to themselves.

Good luck with your anti-PayPal movement.

This is just natural selection. A new site will come out in Canada and everything will be fine.

They took a VERY significant amount of money from the donations for the British Heart Foundation.
Out of $408.72, Paypal took a whole $16.96.

This is nothing new for Paypal. Years back SomethingAwful ran a fundraiser via Paypal for Hurricane Katrina. All the money was going to go to the Red Cross. The donations reached $30,000 and Paypal flagged the account.

Ultimately all the donations were refunded and the Red Cross lost out on a sizeable donation.

Last year Paypal froze Notch's income just as he and Minecraft were becoming popular. Mind you Minecraft is not a philanthropic cause like the Red Cross or this gift exchange... but they sure do love screwing people out of legitimate money.

And it sucks, because they're pretty much the only "decent" way to handle money online. It's amazing nothing else has come along. Bloody eBay monopoly

What about AlertPay?

I made an account to order my R4 and it worked amazingly for me. Too bad not many places use it. :<
