Epic Mickey 2 Confirmed?

Thoughts, RWPers?

EDIT: Oh wow, 3000th thread made on the Nintendo Board. Lucky me!

I remember when members of the board were so excited to see all that ridiculously awesome concept art. Good times.

^Let's hope that's the final turnout, hm? Although it most likely won't be. D:

The first Epic Mickey, while not out and out bad, was ridiculously unfinished. It plays like a budget title for the N64. Here's hoping they push the concept to its full potential next time.

Yeah, the first game was so underwhelming, in my opinion. I felt it could have been so much better. It was fun, but honestly a waste of $50.

I agree with everyone and that's how I've always felt. I'm a HUGE Disney fan and for some reason I'm also a fan of lost, abandoned, or forgotten things, ranging from anything like sunken ships to an entire world so I thought Epic Mickey was going to be the best game ever. It had so much potential and they didn't come close to touching it. I wouldn't doubt a sequel but I hope they do it right this time.

The first was underwhelming, but still a good first step, seeing as Junction Point was in unfamilliar water. Let's hope they fix the problems outlined, like the camera, add some more depth and really make both play styles (single and split two player) fun and worthwhile. Finding all the pins was ultimately not worth it.

I hope we get to see Sylvester Shyster this time. Then again, I only got about halfway through the first Epic Mickey.

Really, now. I remember how my heart sunk seeing the low-70-something on Metacritic. But I played through the whole thing anyway, alternating with a friend (I doubt I could have forced myself through it alone)... and at least with this one we'll be able to play at the same time. I, perhaps foolishly, am getting my hopes up that this game just might be what I had hoped for the first one. Isaac put my feelings well... I had such high hopes for this game and was so let down. I've played games that were just kinda forgettable or underwhelming, but this one in particular I have never been able to let go, because man, after soaking up that concept art and relishing the nightmare of a dystopian Disneyland... I was really crushed.

Although... I don't think this new game, or any Epic Mickey game they make, however long it goes, will live up to their initial concept. I think to make it more marketable they had to tone down the macabre. But, if they just made the camera better and made the gameplay a little more creative than devolving into frustrating fetch quests, I'd be happy...

So I was watching a let's play on Epic Mickey. Got bored after about an hour or two worth of videos. I mean, it can't even keep me interested when just watching it.

I was disappointed when the final game was nothing like the concept art. I can only assume Disney got cold feet.

I don't expect much from this one.

The first one was a waste of space on my usb flashdrive that I promptly erased. Boring, repetitive, clunky, bad camera, gray and dull, like someone said it reminded me of cheap n64 games, right now starshot space circus comes to mind for some reason.
