Apparently, Nintendo's confirmed that they will be patching that annoying glitch in Mario Kart 7. and that you can't play online until you download this patch.

If it makes online matches more fair then I'll for it. I wasn't aware, nor have been affected by this glitch in any multiplayer though.

tl;dw version hop into some rocks in the water and Lakitu brings you to the wrong part of the track.

That's what you get for adding Lakitu as a driver.

This patch will also probably have some security shenanigans, so mind your flash cards (if any). I actually like this glitch being fixed. Made for some unfair gameplay. Of course I could also do the glitch, but I'm not a f- who wants to rely on glitches to win.

I am very glad to hear that this will be fixed.

So many times, you get stuck with a bunch of racers who all vote for that map. I have never once taken that shortcut, but have tried to screw over those who do. Also, I may have rage quitted a few times.

The best thing about this, is after the exploit is fixed, that so many will still try to use it. There will be some guy every race, who keeps trying over and over till the race ends.

You need a mushroom to pull it off, so if you screw it up once you can't try it again. But yeah, I do anticipate a lot of people not realizing it has been fixed.

You can test this in offline time trails. You can easily do it without an item.

Wouldn't say easily, but a mushroom definitely changes it from a skillful jump to a noob tactic anyone can pull off on their first try.
