It's been three days, and still no thread dedicated to New Super Mario Bros. U? You people make me want to kill endangered species.

So yeah, new 2D Mario platformer. Life is good, right? It has baby Yoshies with special powers, a flying squirrel suit, a cool haunted swamp stage with a van Gogh background, the glorious return of Big Island, red coins, an eel, and probably some other cool stuff too I think. Personally, I hope they'll bring back the angry sun and Kuribo's Shoe, because it's been too long. Et vous?

I saw a small amount of gameplay on it today. It makes me want to get a Wii U!

The Starry Night part seemed cool. I'm a little sick of all the Mario, to be totally honest. Whatever keeps the general public happy.

I'll be looking forward to it, but I'm sick of the style. Rayman Legends puts it to shame. I'm not asking for a super-stylized Mario like that, but I just want them to come up with a new style. Also, does anyone else hate those "wahs"? Theme's fine except for those.

Haha, pretty blasphemous I guess. I love Mario, but seeing two NSMB come out at the same time is annoying. I guess I just want a 3D Mario instead.

OFF-TOPIC: Speaking of Mario. I just got Sunshine. Instant new favorite Mario game. I love it. Although I did rage quit when I missed the last boat to get to the island with the guy who can't swim and my Yoshi EVAPORATED! I'm sad FLUID isn't in another game, though. She(?) was my favorite part of the whole game.

ON-TOPIC: I can't wait for this game. It might just be one of the best Mario games yet. I just got a good feeling about it.

It's pretty good, as long as mindless Nintendrones like Mandolin keep giving their money away for this mediocrity then the console should stay afloat long enough for a good game like F-Zero or Starfox to be relased. By that time the console should've come down in price a bit too.
Only downside is that such fans could allow the devs to get complacent and it hurts the quality of the core titles.

I agree with those getting tired of seeing Mario. At least in 2D form. That said, the game looks so gorgeous, and seems to have enough new gameplay elements to justify its existence. Unlike how i feel about NSMB2 right now.

I never liked those wahs.

And I agree with the Rayman stuff. I'm freakin' jazzed about Legends and I absolutely loved Origins.

The two new NSMB games could be cancelled tomorrow and I wouldn't care at all.

On topic: Another New Super Mario Bros.. Okay. 2 new New Super Mario Bros.. Really Nintendo?

New power ups? Who cares? They will probably be rarely used and could easily be replaced by objects from previous games or better yet, objects that are already in the game. I'm looking at you Propeller suit.
