So I know what you're thinking. "This should be a blog".

Well nobody reads those, and I can't update them as easily, with things like pics etc that I want to do.

Basically I want to update this thread every day over the next 3 weeks, with things like updates, and/or pics of my trip to Australia; as well as get some discussion about your own trips, or any advice/things you feel I should bring/things you would like to see etc. I want this to be sort of interactive blog control; where people request what they want a pic of, and I try to make it happen, or they discuss their own trips, post their own pics, etc. I leave a week from today, and I get home on the 13th of July. My days in perth are June 27th till July 11th.

6 days till my trip
Today my money should be finished converting from CAD to AUD. So I'll hopefully be picking that up today. I'm also hoping to complete my list of things I want to bring, and get some of it packed. I'm starting to feel the like, idk excitement? I'm pretty nervous about it (understandably I would hope) but very much looking forward to it.

Next update - my $1,606.61 CAD has turned into $1,490.00 AUD. This is my 'spend it on food and fun' money. I don't plan to spend all of it, but it's just kinda to have it, y'know? I don't want to once while i'm there be at a shop, and see something awesome, and not be able to get it . I will spend as much as I have to, without any conservation effort whatsoever, and what's left over is left over.

I bought my health insurance, finally. I now have everything I need for my trip except bravery and a packed suitcase.

4 days remaining
List is nearing completion, give me some ideas of what to bring guys! i got my last few prescriptions filled, wonder how okay the airport will be with me bring medicine across borders..

3 Days remaining
Got my American express card. I now have unlimited money for my trip; but do not plan to use this while there unless it's absolutely necessary. Spending a lot of time visiting family now xD last weekend in Canada!

2 Days remaining
Went to my last yugioh tournament; Ended up going 7-0; didn't lose even once the whole day. Sweet ending to my yugioh for a while. Got a nice 40$ cash for winning too. I'm going to call TD today and Rogers to see about setting my phone up for international use as a camera; and as well as setting up my bank account(s) to see how to best get my money to pertho. My parents are also demanding I teach them skype and do some practice ones today xD down to the wire guys, tomorrow is my last full day in Canada.

Final update before leaving?
Well. I'm all packed. This is it. Plane leaves at 3:30 EST. They want me to be there 3 hours early; and I have to actually make the drive there, and get ready in the morning so it's VERY unlikely I will be online between now and the time I'm in perth.

Day 1 in perth:
Well, so far so good; but the sun is MUCH brighter here, wow. the weather is awesome so far, her brother and dad seem nice, but she's been incredibly neutral so far. No complaints just good times, gonna hopefully do lots of good stuffs.

Day 2: Helped ani move out of her residency, that was lots of fun, todays been pretty good so far, but the best part so far has been last night (and no its not what you think, its just the bed here is really comfy and i got some hugs.) Waiting for her to get home from work now, may go on a pic taking spree, but i'm locked in her house

So, my bed here is a mattress, which is conveniently placed on the floor; beside Ani's bed. Shit's cray. Also, as I said above, I was locked in their house, left here alone. Left home alone in someone else's house. Her dad has known me for less than 12 hours lol. Like, there is so much mind**** here it's crazy. But pretty awesome, I feel very trusted and welcome, which is great. Just wish she didn't have to work but it's fine.

Day 3:
went to the markets, I bought a new outfit, I bought her some new shoes xD she was quite overjoyed.. I should really get to taking more pictures >_< it's just been weird settling in and stuff

Day 4:
Got 2nd place of 18 (by 1 point) in their local yugioh tournament, that's kinda fun I guess. Cuddles are by far the most amazing thing in the world man. I also have watched way too much my little pony since I got here.

Day 5: updating this, with the jist of the last couple days, i'm going to get a pic tonight of us, if i remember to, at least 1, I want like 50 though. Next week she has 3 days off so we will do cool shit then. I'll update this with the rest of day 5 but im off to go visit her at work.

Day 6: Ermagerd we went to the zoo it was sooo bitchin. we got lots and lots of pictures; penguins!!! DDDD

Day 7: Went to aqwaaaa! aquarium ftw! we totally laid down on this like treadmill thing and watched as sharks swam over us :>

Day 8: Ani had to work, so machanist came over for a visit! we had pizza, and cookies, and watched youtube all day because we are such hard partyers

Day 9: This is today but its 9 AM; hoping to go to dinner tonight as well as the city

This is an excellent idea. I've always wanted to go to Australia so hopefully this'll make up for my inability to go, for now.

Just don't swim in pools without checking thoroughly for spiders, on and under the surface .

Been to Switzerland for a week a few years back. Luckily I had a short flight, but I would recommend getting some entertainment for the duration of the flight (provided the plane doesn't do so for you). Just one other pretty obvious tip. Don't spend too long in bed, two weeks are over before you know it, and there's plenty of Australia to discover. Every hour you spend in bed extra is an hour you can't go discovering Australia

I suggest you take a picture of you two holding up a sign that says "Jackjack71 is awesome". This is my only request.

Meeting people from the internet in my experience is incredibly fun but I was always a nervous wreck. When I first met my boyfriend in real life, I was shaking really bad. But it was still enjoyable. It took me two more visits, but we finally got the vibe right. I move in with him in 9ish days.

I also met NeoGC just last week. We went to the Museum of Natural History together. I hope you have a lot of fun, Dan. Take tons of pictures, and try lots of new things.

Yeah i'm worried about the nervousness, that's why I went with 2 weeks. one week just didn't feel long enough. and I didn't want to go for too long in case she just ends up hating me and wanting me to leave, plus the imposition on her family with me being there for that long so 2 weeks felt right.

When I visited someone for a week, the first day was really awkward, none of us really being talkers and all.
