Philosophy thread

So I've been thinking of this sorta complex idea, and I have started to come to a conclusion as to what I believe to be true but at the same time it's one of those ideas that A) Are quite impossible to answer, and B) Is a great conversation piece. Anyway here is my question to all:

As the thread asks, is the imagination powerful enough to physically create things into existence? Or worded another way, Can the human brain generate something physical and/or spiritual from within itself into reality? Also as a follow up question, Can the collective consciousness of multiple human brains, a society or culture for example, create a physical and/or spiritual being or object.

I've wondered this for quite a while ever since I learned of the creature that made me ask these questions in the first place. Slender. He was created by the Something Awful forums to be used to fool people into believing he was a real folktale and has since been in many popular forms of media. Some people do not know that he is a creation and honestly believe him to be some sort of folktale which has been modernized over the years. It makes me wonder then if the collective consciousness of so many different people is actually powerful enough to manifest a physical or spiritual copy of what the brain perceives to be truth.

The brain is an extremely powerful thing which can produce all sorts of different things, especially when fear is involved. Have you ever seen something that wasn't really there? Or heard whispers or noises in your ear? Or even seen the shadows as a figure looming in the darkness? Well that's your brain believing something to be real even though it really isn't, but as food for thought, let's say it was something entirely. Let's say the human brain is so powerful that it's actually able to manifest whatever fears, hopes, desires you have into reality just because it believes something to be true with such an intensity that it becomes the truth.

Now I must say that a lot of this might sound like rambling, and maybe it doesn't make any sense at all. However I would love to hear any input that anybody has regarding this. At the same time, feel free to post any question or quandary you've been mauling over and can't quite come to any conclusion with.

Again, I realize a lot of this may be unclear and/or scrambled, but I wrote it anyway in the hopes that we can start a good discussion. ^^

I guess that was a pretty vague answer

in believing in it they are putting energy into it thus making it more real

Which means that Slenderman is actually something that has become real through the power of thought therefore, be very afraid.

I also wonder if instead of physically manifesting something into reality, every thought ever created actually fed into another dimension where the idea stays. The only way for the idea to escape then, would be if the idea was created with the intention of skipping through dimensions which if such a thing is true, Slenderman still exists and he's scarier than ever. ^^

Okay maybe not one human mind, but consider thousands, millions, billions! It seems that with that much intellect feeding into one idea, it just might be possible to create something physical or spiritual, take your pick!

And don't forget, I also mentioned the idea of human minds creating something inside another dimension, one set aside for the sole purpose of forming beings with ideas taken from our own dimension. ^^
