Technical help! Woo hoo!
Yeah, This doesn't really belong here, but I need some help that has to do with home networking and DSL..
Now, I want to start home networking so I can play my xbox online without taking my DSL router upstairs, and getting a 40ft long ethernet cable isn't going to happen. So I turn to you guys for help. I'm aiming to buy eather the xbox 360 wireless adapter, but I'm not sure if my DSL box has a wireless output. It is a Westell VersaLink Model 327W If it can give out a semi strong wireless signal, that would be great, but I can't seem to find any info obn it from westell's site.. ![]() Now my second soloution would to be buy a cheep DSL router to plug in upstairs. But one thing I'm not too suer with, can it be compadable with two routers on one phone line? Or would they interfere and require me to split the DSL siginal from one router? Thanks in advanse.. I really want internet upstaiers =p

I'm no networking genius, but even a cursory glance on Google would seem to indicate that your DSL modem supports wireless just fine.

Six million? What parallel RWP are you visiting?
![]() I guess your router supports wireless, so yeah, I'd definitely go with that. As far as your other concern goes, you certainly can link multiple routers together with no problems or interference if you need to. I think you can even link routers together via wireless, but I've not found out how to do that ![]()

You should be able to link through wireless, I'm not sure how though, but it would probably involve making one the main router another a secondary (though independantly set up) and use some form of routing protocol (Bridge/IP Routes). It would also depend on the router bought.

Well What I was talking about when getting two routers, well I'd only get two is my current model can't give a wireless siginal, but I've found out it can, so I'm good
![]() If I was going to get two routers, both routers would be on the same phone line, and wouldn't be connected in any way other then through phone wire.
