MAD Magazine
All right, dearest friends, you have been thinking much too hard, and I'll have to do something about it. I will now begin a conversation that will send us deep into the realm of all that is inane, incredible, and irreverent. Are any of you, like me, big fans of the "usual gang of idiots" at MAD Magazine? I've been a big follower or its outrageous exploits for a while now, and I never miss a single issue. Do you enjoy this rag as much as I do, and if so, what are your favorite sections?
Personally, my favorite part of the magazine are John Caldwell's miscellaneous musings on a series of hypothetical situations; no fan of MAD does not know what I mean. He'd write articles about things like what the world would be like without video games or how to tell violent street gangs from those that are just a lot of talk, and always leaves me splitting my sides. The movie satires are often a real hoot as well, but the television show satires often go over my head because I'm not a big viewer of most newer shows. (I stopped caring about hard-hitting television series since "the X-Files" saw its last go-round) There's also the intriguing story of how everyone's favorite dimwit, Alfred E. Neuman, (that redheaded kid with the big ears, the gap-toothed grin, and one eye higher on his face than the other, who appears on the cover of every issue of MAD) came to be. His image has existed since the late nineteenth century and many artists and cartoonists through the ages have claimed to have created him, but not one has managed to make the claim absolute. I've got a book currently checked out from my local library that details the history of MAD magazine, and it includes a section with multiple paintings and drawings of the same gap-toothed boy from many different times and even different parts of the world. His true identity remains a mystery, even to the usual gang of idiots. So, how do you feel about MAD? Quote:

What, Me Worry?
I think if anyone likes mad they WILL pick that poll anwser. MAD magazine is just brilliant , I can't say the same for the MAD TV. I have been reading MAD for years seems like yesterday I was hiding my magazines under bed because my mother didn't "approve".They always have the best parodies nothing can even compare to it. But for some unexplicable reason I haven't read any of the of their magazines in a long time, the last issue I bought was in Septembre... Top 3 things never to miss out in a MAD magazine -Spy vs. Spy -MAD fold-ins -A Mad look at And "The Lighter Side of" that they stopped making I don't know why it was brilliant.

Andre... how can you hate it? It takes the Real News, and points out how it really is with humorus drawings. It's great. Anyone who hates it hasn't read it (or picked up a copy of MAD Kids by mistake).
@Mr.Patch: They stopped the lighter Side because the writer of it quit. EDIT: Lulz, Andre and KirbyFanner agreeing on something... Ones too old for it, ones too young... DOUBLE EDIT: CAN YA GUESS WHOSE WHICH?!?

I'm English, we don't have MAD.
The closest thing we have is Private Eye We have also got a TV program called 'Have I Got News For You' which is somewhat satirical.
