Portal is finally ready to play on Steam, with the GLaDOS@home site ending up getting the game some 9 hours early. Reaction to the stunt by Valve was mixed, with users having to play games from a set list in order to make Portal 2 launch quicker. It seemed like an impossible task, and each game complete only shaving a paltry amount of time of the scheduled launch, but it soon gained momentum.
