Zelda is Nintendo’s flagship, so fans of the series expect nothing but the best when it comes to Link’s adventures across the land and sea. By all accounts, The Wind Waker definitely delivers: an incredible plot, beautifully-styled visualizations, and music that is nothing short of impressive.

Four composers, including the legendary Koji Kondo, collaborated to make one of Nintendo’s most ambitious soundtracks to that point. The music from The Wind Waker is markedly different than other games in the franchise. While the game retains the themes of the series that we are all familiar with, much of the music has a Celtic feel. Fiddles and bagpipes punctuate the soundtrack, for an unusual, yet very pleasant package to listen to.
