Ancient Lake is the first course that appears in Diddy Kong Racing, and its remake Diddy Kong Racing DS. It is also the first course of the Dino Domain lobby. The course takes place on a grassy lakeside. The course features some Stonehenge-like structures just off the course near the start. It also features a dinosaur milling about at a lake near the finish line, which poses a threat for racers who tread underfoot. The DS version is slightly expanded to include a cave and bridge just before the finish line.

Key Location
Near the start of the track, where the Stonehenge-like monument is located, is also a ramp with the Rare logo on it. On this ramp is the Key for Dino Domain's locked door.
