Taxi Grab

The Taxi Pack move where Banjo scoops up various characters and objects to carry around can also be used to pick up certain items early and with little effort. For example, there is a Jiggy behind a bone-grate in Stomponadon's lair that can be collected without removing the grate with this method. This happens because Banjo's hitbox is extended while the move is in action.

This glitch only works in the original NTSC Nintendo 64 version. It will not work in the PAL Nintendo 64 version or the Xbox Live Arcade version.

Jet Sack/Moon Pack

This section is marked as incomplete. You can help the RWP Wiki by adding to it.

The Jet Sack (or Moon Pack) glitch allows Banjo, while using the Sack Pack, to float into the air. It requires a "wavy" body of water and land that can be easily hopped to (with the control stick).

Undead

Mayahem Temple

In Mayahem Temple, it is possible to control Banjo and Kazooie after all of their health is depleted. To perform this glitch, the player must bring Banjo and Kazooie's health down to one unit and then enter the Treasure Chamber, and must retrieve the Priceless Relic Thingy from the thiving Unga Bungas. The player must then re-enter the main room of the Treasure Chamber, and hold onto a Grip Grab ledge. The player must then get hit by a Snapdragon, which will take away their last unit of health and cause then to land in front of Bloatazin. However, instead of dying, Banjo will stand up and give Bloatazin the relic, and the Jiggy will appear. After this, the cutscene for the panicking caveman plays (although oddly, it plays all of the variations of Terrydactyland's music at once). When the cutscene is over, Banjo and Kazooie will still be able to be controlled, but their health will be at zero. Unlike the examples below, the player can interact with objects (the Jiggy is able to be picked up) and they can even leave the Treasure Chamber. However, if they are hit once, they will die as normal.

Isle o' Hags (Plateau)

In the Plateau region of the Isle o' Hags, it also is possible to control Banjo and Kazooie after all of their health is depleted. To perform this glitch, the player must Split-Up using the Split-Up Pads in the area (this glitch will not work if Banjo and Kazooie are together). Bring Banjo or Kazooie's health down to one unit, then stand near the entrance to Glitter Gulch Mine and get hurt while managing to fall into the mine entrance (can be done by having the Gruntydactyl push Banjo/Kazooie in or by exploding a Clockwork Kazooie Egg nearby, if using Kazooie). Banjo/Kazooie will lose their last piece of health and "die," but the mine entrance will push him/her upward at the same time, allowing them to be controlled while dead.

In this state, none of the normal entrances/exits work, no music plays in the background, Jamjars' hatch and Master Jiggywiggy's podium cannot be interacted with, enemies cannot be attacked, the game cannot be paused, and Kazooie cannot fire eggs. The duo also cannot be brought back together, although Banjo and Kazooie can still be switched between using the Split-Up Pads. Oddly, the other character will also be under these effects.

This can be reversed by falling off the cliff and into the abyss, which will force a respawn and bring everything back to normal.

In the Xbox Live Arcade version, this glitch no longer works in this location. Instead of the character's undead corpse being shot back up, it will simply land on the portal and the death sequence will continue as normal.

Jolly Roger's Lagoon

In Jolly Roger's Lagoon, it is also possible to control Banjo and Kazooie after all of their health is depleted. To perform this glitch, the player must bring their health bar down to one unit (the easiest way being to stand in the fireplace in Jolly's) and then stand directly in front of the jukebox in Jolly's bar. Lay a Clockwork Kazooie Egg behind Banjo and Kazooie, and then mash the B button. If pulled off correctly, the Clockwork Kazooie Bomb will explode and kill the duo, but the jukebox menu will also come up. Exiting the jukebox menu then allows the player to walk around while dead.

Similar to the above, in this state, Jolly's bar cannot be exited, no music plays in the background, none of the non-player characters can be spoken to, the game cannot be paused, and Banjo and Kazooie cannot fire any Eggs. The only way reverse this is to turn off the game and then turn it back on.

In the Xbox Live Arcade version, this glitch still works in this location. However, due to the changes made to the controls, it is much easier to pull it off by firing a Grenade Egg forward, and then mashing the B button while it explodes than it is to try the original method.

Retrieving the Relic More Quickly in Mayahem Temple

In Mayahem Temple, after traveling to the Unga Bunga Cave to retrieve Targitzan's Priceless Relic Thingy, the player can skip having to sneak across the bed of twigs, as well as skip having to carry the relic the long way around.

To do this glitch, the player must Talon Trot jump to the torch near the wall. Obviously this will damage Banjo, however, it will also give him a boost so that he can reach the "safe zone" past the twigs. Then, the player should jump up next to the relic, Talon Trot, and then grab it. After grabbing the relic, immediately jump back down to the "safe zone" in front of the twigs, and slide for a bit. Before Kazooie stops sliding, jump back to the fire. If done correctly, Banjo will once again be damaged and gain a boost. Afterward, just maneuver Banjo back to the outside of the bed of twigs. Once he lands, he will be carrying the relic over his head like usual, but now it's just a simple matter of walking back through the entrance.

Through the Wall in Witchyworld

In Witchyworld, activating the Wonderwing and standing on the moving jaws of the Inferno entrance will cause Banjo and Kazooie to be pushed up through the wall.

In the Xbox Live Arcade version, this glitch no longer works due to the fact that the lower jaw on the Inferno's entrance refuses to close if the player is using the Wonderwing on or near it.

All Together Now at Jolly's

In Jolly Roger's Lagoon, playing the "Shopping Around Town" musical track on the jukebox in Jolly's bar and then exploding a Clockwork Kazooie inside of the bar will cause all of the world's musical variations to play at once, including an apparently-unused track with seagulls cawing.

This glitch only works in the Nintendo 64 NTSC version of the game.

A Sign of Bad Collision in Terrydactyland

In Terrydactyland, there is a "TO WITCHYWORLD ->" sign in the Oogle Boogles' cave. Jumping towards the top of this sign will cause Banjo to Grip-Grab onto it. Pressing A to climb up will then cause Banjo to climb onto the sign, while going straight through the wall it's hanging on. Banjo will then be outside of the map, and jumping off the sign will cause him to fall into the abyss below, eventually causing him to respawn back at the cave entrance. To get back into the cave without forcing a respawn, simply walk back through the wall, as it is only solid on one side.

In the Xbox Live Arcade version, this glitch no longer works, as the sign no longer offers Grip Grab collision.

Skip Chuffy in Grunty Industries

It is possible to enter the Grunty Industries building for the first time without needing Chuffy the train. The player needs to break open the window immediately above the front door of the factory, then fire a Clockwork Kazooie Egg into the opening. Then, if the player manages to activate the screen transition into the factory with the Clockwork Kazooie Bomb at the exact same time Banjo and Kazooie get attacked by the Guvnor outside, the Clockwork Kazooie Bomb will explode but the screen transition will continue. When it finishes, Banjo and Kazooie will be inside the factory, at the very top of Floor 1.

Toxic Skip in Grunty Industries

In Grunty Industries, it is possible to get the Jiggy beneath the toxic sludge in the Waste Disposal plant without having to go around to the other side to get into the cage. The player simply needs to use Banjo's Shack Pack move to get in front of the Jiggy under the sludge. Then, deactivate the move while holding forward, and Banjo will go into his swimming animation before being shot out of the sludge, giving him enough reach to grab the Jiggy from where he is.

This glitch is only known to work in the Nintendo 64 NTSC version of the game.

There is also a glitch that can be used to skim the top of the sludge without the Sack Pack. In order to do this, the player needs to jump into the toxic sludge and then, with precise timing, jump out and forward. If the player takes too long, Banjo will be harmed and will shoot back to the first platform. However, if the timing is right, the player will, with a few short hops, be able to reach the other side of the muck.

Hailfire Peaks Early from Grunty Industries

From the Waste Disposal Plant in Grunty Industries, Banjo (alone) can get to Hailfire Peaks before completing its Jiggywiggy Challenge puzzle. To perform this glitch, simply take solo-Banjo to the Hailfire Peaks oil pipe in the Waste Disposal Plant. From the side of the pipe, keep jumping into the seam between the pipe and the wall. Eventually, Banjo will clip into the loading zone and appear outside the pipe on the Icy Side of Hailfire Peaks. The reason this happens is that, obviously, the pipe leads to and from Hailfire Peaks. Normally, the player is required to use the Snowball transformation in Hailfire's Icy Side to press the button activating the oil drill, which causes a Jiggy to appear in the oil containment tank in GI's Waste Disposal Plant. Banjo is then supposed to use the Shack Pack to enter a hole in the pipe, allowing him to access the Jiggy. However, it appears the loading zone is just slightly bigger than it should be, thus allowing Banjo to get to Hailfire Peaks from outside the pipe. This glitch causes an interesting situation, since normally Split-Up characters cannot leave or enter a world unrestricted.

Attempting the glitch as Banjo and Kazooie together causes Humba Wumba to say that her magic won't work between worlds (despite the fact that they are not transformed), and attempting it as Kazooie alone causes Banjo to tell her she can't leave the world without him.
