Additional Info

Banjoland is the third of five game worlds in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. It is a museum made up of pieces of levels from Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Also included are areas paying tribute to other features of the Banjo games: there are many statues of Jinjos and statues of various past transformations can be seen. Banjoland's music is also made of parts from previous Banjo level themes, played one after the other: Click Clock Wood, Freezeezy Peak, Mad Monster Mansion, Gobi's Valley, Cloud Cuckooland, Mayahem Temple, and Rusty Bucket Bay. The "alternate" challenge variation also contains a segment of the "Squirrel" theme from Banjo-Kazooie, which played in Nabnut's house.

The level also features Stop 'n' Swop references abound, such as the Ice Key, a Stop 'n' Swop CD, fake Red Secret Eggs with Gruntbots inside them, and a picture on the wall of Banjo holding the Pink Secret Egg and Ice Key.

Trivia

  • The level's introduction sequence is a spoof of the introduction to the television series The Love Boat.
  • According to an interview with the Banjo team, Banjoland, viewed from above, is in the shape of Banjo's head.
  • Banjoland features twenty Info Points, which discuss many of the exhibits relating to older games. However, one of the Info Points, #14, is missing from the level, leaving nineteen that can be seen normally in the game. A text dump from the game's demo reveals that the missing Info Point discusses Terry's Nest from Terrydactyland in Banjo-Tooie.
  • In the game's demo, Act 1 of Banjoland is available to play, however, it features different set of challenges than the first act in the full game. The demo's Act 1 features the challenges You'll Go Blind You Clanker..., Land, Sea, Not Air, Park Prix 1 and The Referee's an Aardvark! In addition, the host of "Land, Sea, Not Air" in the demo is Bottles, rather than Klungo. Due to this, the demo actually features some dialog not present in the full game.
