Brute Force is a cancelled arcade fighting game that was revamped as Killer Instinct. The game had it's name changed due to "Brute Force" being already copyrighted.
Differences
Most of Killer Instinct's development was carried out under its working title, much of which was substantially changed before the final version hit the streets - names, character designs and gameplay elements changed constantly during Brute Force's life. Glacius originally had a different design from Killer Instinct; while the initial female character, known as both 'Roxy Rave' and 'Wanda' during her brief existence, served as a very early prototype for Black Orchid; a couple of Roxy's assets were retained. Only Jago, Glacius and Eyedol survived with their original names intact. Cinder was previously called 'Magma' and 'Meltdown', Riptor was once referred to as 'Toxin', Spinal as 'Argo', Sabrewulf as 'Newton' and T.J. Combo as 'Mr. Fist'.
