Biography
Candy Kong is a tall, blonde-haired female gorilla. She is Donkey Kong's girlfriend.
In the Games
Donkey Kong Country
In Donkey Kong Country, Candy runs the various Save Points on Donkey Kong Island, allowing DK and Diddy Kong to save their progress for free.
In the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country, since the player can now save their progress at any point on the map screen, Candy Kong instead runs a dance studio, where a mini-game can be played.
Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA)
While absent from the original Super Nintendo version of the game, in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 2, Candy appears as Swanky Kong's assistant during his game show.
Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA)
While absent from the original Super Nintendo version of the game, in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3, Candy appears as one of the Kongs who must be rescued during Funky Kong's "Protect" minigame.
Donkey Kong 64
In Donkey Kong 64, Candy Kong runs a Music Shop in the game's various worlds. She first appears in Angry Aztec. From her store, Donkey, Diddy, Tiny, Lanky, and Chunky Kong can buy instruments from her. These instruments have special powers can be used by the Kongs to perform a musical attack or activate musical pads. Each non-pad use of an instruments uses up a small amount of musical power, which can be regained using Headphones. Candy Kong will also increase the Kongs' available musical power in later worlds.
