Biography
Blackeye is a large pirate who hangs out in Jolly's. He suffers from seasickness, which is ironic for a pirate captain. Blackeye is a lot larger than most of the other non-boss characters. He wears typical pirate garb and a pirate hat with two swords and the words "RUN THRU" printed on it.
History and development
Originally, Captain Blackeye was the leader of a gang of pirates and the main antagonist in Project Dream, the original game that became Banjo-Kazooie, as revealed in Retro Gamer magazine's "Making of Banjo-Kazooie" article. He owned a ship in Project Dream that was called the Mudplugger. It was revealed by Grant Kirkhope that the music that played while Edison was on the Mudplugger was the tune that now plays in Donkey Kong 64's Gloomy Galleon (Shipwreck). This is further backed up by his comments in Banjo-Tooie, referencing 'dream' and a bear stealing his glory.

Banjo-Kazooie (Cameo)
In Banjo-Kazooie, Blackeye appears as a portrait hanging in various places amidst Mad Monster Mansion.
Banjo-Tooie
He first appears physcially in Banjo-Tooie. He appears in Jolly's pub in Jolly Roger's Lagoon. In the room he resides in, there are pictures of things from Banjo-Kazooie, such as Treasure Trove Cove and the Pink Egg. He serves little purpose in the game, giving the player two doubloons in exchange for a glass of water which the player cannot obtain anyway. Rare stated the reason for this was: "You have some Doubloons left because we thought that having to collect all of them to achieve the objectives was a bit mean at that stage in the game. Hence a bit of leeway."
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cameo)
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a wanted posted of Captain Blackeye appears on the front of the Boot-In-A-Box vehicle part. There is also a building in Showdown Town with a sign reading "Blackeye's Boat Hire."
