The 6th Generation of Consoles lasted from 1998-2006 with the launch of the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It is sometimes referred to as the 128-Bit era. This generation's consoles, in order, are: Sega Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo Gamecube; The most sold console so far is the PlayStation 2, having sold 127 Million units worldwide. The second one is the Xbox, with 24 Million, third the Gamecube with 21.74 Million, and finally the Dreamcast with 10.6 Million.
