Clockwork Kazooie Eggs are disposable items that feature in Banjo-Tooie. The fifth and final kind of egg to be acquired, they are also the most complex. Unlike any of the other eggs, upon impact they hatch into Clockwork Kazooies. These remote-control bombs will detonate within twenty seconds, and this is used to fulfil various purposes.
The ability to use the eggs, along with ten of the eggs themselves, was bestowed by Sergeant Jamjars in the Isle o' Hags' Wasteland.
The Clockwork Kazooie itself is able to pick up all items such as notes and cheato pages, making it extremely useful. Furthermore, it can be used to perform major gamebreaking glitches and does not alert Ssslumber and other situations where the game wants Banjo to 'sneak'.
There are various caveats and regulations that apply to the use of the bombs. There are certain doors that they cannot pass through (generally, ones that lead out of the level or into another level); any attempt to do so will provoke a comment of "Hey, rustbrain! You can't go through there!" from the omnipresent Jamjars. They cannot come into contact with water on pain of detonation, and if Banjo or Kazooie is harmed while they are in use, they will immediately explode to return action to the protagonists.
Notably, the eggs came in useful for defeating the Rocknut tribe and the Hag 1, as well as opening the Superstash Deluxe.
