DK Jamz: The Original Donkey Kong Country Soundtrack was released on compact disc and audio cassette in 1995. It was made available through Nintendo's official magazine, Nintendo Power. It features 50 tracks, 24 of which are silent tracks which are followed by "bonus" tracks not listed on the packaging. The "Jungle Groove" track is an arrangement of the "DK Island Swing" track featuring higher-quality instruments and ambient samples. It should also be noted that the beginning of the "DK Island Swing" track features the fanfare that plays upon the appearance of the Rare logo in the game's introduction, before the main track begins.

The music on this soundtrack was composed chiefly by David Wise, however, Eveline Fischer and Robin Beanland also contributed (where noted).
