The DK Rap (also known as Da Banana Bunch on the similarly-named soundtrack) was first featured in the opening cinema of Donkey Kong 64, which was a humorous cinematic introducing the five Kongs. It made quite an impact: not only was it a 3-minute song with actual vocals in a cartridge game (sound files consume a lot of storage space on cartridges), it was also one of the first times an Everyone-rated game blatantly used the word "hell." Rare may have realized that this would raise eyebrows, as the singers put special emphasis on the word "hell" when it appears late in the song, in the line "one HELL of a guy." When the DK Rap appeared in the Teen-rated Super Smash Bros. Melee, the word "hell" was replaced with "heck." The Melee version of the song was also featured in the Donkey Konga rhythm game by Namco and in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
