Edison, as he was to appear in Project Dream.

Edison was to be the main character of Project Dream, the game which eventually became Banjo-Kazooie. Edison is heroic young boy with blue eyes and brown hair who wears a black shirt, green jacket, and orange shorts. The game's story would have had Edison rescuing his girlfriend from the evil Captain Blackeye and his gang of pirates.

The game was reworked and made vastly different, with Edison eventually being replaced by Banjo and Kazooie, and Captain Blackeye being made a minor cameo character in the Banjo-Kazooie series, and Edison has never made an appearance in any game released so far. The only image of him is a screenshot from a development build of Project Dream. It was revealed by Grant Kirkhope that Edison's theme was the same tune that plays during day 2 of Viva Piñata.
