Empty Honeycomb Peices (also known as Extra Honeycomb Pieces, and called Hollow Honeycombs in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge) are special items found in the Banjo-Kazooie series that, when a certain ammount is collected, Banjo and Kazooie's health bar increases by one. However, in each game, it is done in different numbers.

Banjo-Kazooie

In Banjo-Kazooie, extra health is obtained by collecting 6 Extra Honeycomb Pieces. When 6 are collected, a small animation and tune are played in which the 6 Extra Honeycomb Pieces come together, forming a Health Bar slot. There are a total of 24 pieces which make for a total of an additional 4 health slots. There are 2 found in each regular level, along with another six found in the Spiral Mountain area.

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, extra health is obtained by collecting a certain number of Extra Honeycomb Pieces. Unlike Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie extra health is obtained by collecting an odd number of Extra Honeycomb Pieces and talking to Honey B. There are 5 total Health Bar extentions to be obtained, with costs being 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 Extra Honeycomb Pieces each time. With that in mind, there are a total of 25 Extra Honeycomb Pieces in the game.
