An Extra Life Balloon is an item in the Donkey Kong series.
Description
In the first generation of the Donkey Kong series, the extra life balloon awards players more lives. The shape of the balloon differs from game to game, with the balloon being modelled after the design of the main character. Balloons are available in three colours, with each denoting a different value. Red is worth one life, Green is worth two lives, and Blue is worth three lives, with the rarity of the balloons increasing as the value is raised. All three varieties can be found within the levels of the games, however the higher values are often awarded as prizes from games and bonuses.
