Biography
Farron is a wandering knight who happened upon the war-torn Badlands. In Solon's absence, he has taken it upon himself to lead to Elves to victory.
History and Development
All of Farron's concept art lists him as "Horse Rider" indicating that he was always meant to ride around on horseback. Additionally, he might have sported some sort of bionic or mechanical arm and at one point had a Lion headdress and cloak for armor. The game's manual mentions his "place in history" and makes him out to be an integral part of the story. This idea was abandoned in the finished product, but according to rumor, he might have at one point been Solon in disguise.
Farron's armor is very similar to that of scrapped character Cailem's. His purpose and character might have eventually merged with Cailem's during development.
In the Game
Kameo initially meets Farron upon landing in the Badlands for the first time. He warns her of the ongoing assaults on the Elemental Shrines which power the shield over the Enchanted Kingdom. Farron loans Kameo a horse before charging off into battle.
After this first appearance, Farron can be found in all Badlands skirmishes leading the Elves.
Relations with Other Characters
- Kameo: Although their meeting was brief, Farron doesn't seem to recognize Kameo's status and treats her like anyone else.
- The Population: Villagers and letters left in abandon huts note Farron's skill and fighting ability. They're also quick to ponder over his motivations and who he really is.
Trivia

- Farron is simply referred to as "the masked stranger" by villagers, and his motivations for leading the Elves in battle are unknown.
- Farron appears in all battles raging in The Badlands.
- Farron might ride his horse off into a volcanic pit if in the right area. It is possible for him to get out however.
- Getting too close to Farron while he's swinging his sword around can hurt the player.
- The concept art of Farron is very similar to the artwork of Solon used in the ending sequence.
