Description

Flight Pads are pads that allow Banjo and Kazooie to fly. Standing on one and pressing the jump button will make Kazooie soar into the air. They are marked by Red Feathers on a blue background.

In the Games

Banjo-Kazooie

In Banjo-Kazooie, Flight Pads are first introduced in Treasure Trove Cove, where Bottles teaches the duo how to use them. From then on, they appear in many subsequent levels and even in Gruntilda's Lair.

Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie, Flight Pads reappear. The only difference between the Flight Pads in this game is that they feature a more detailed design that glows and undulates. The first appearance of a Flight Pad in this game is in Spiral Mountain, at the top of the eponymous mountain. They are also more common in this game than in Kazooie, appearing in most levels. Flight Pads can only be used by Banjo and Kazooie together or Kazooie alone.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cameo)

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, a Flight Pad appears in a box in Banjo's house on the main menu. A Flight Pad also appears in the box of moves given back to Banjo and Kazooie at the end of the game by the Lord of Games, along with Red and Gold Feathers and a Blue Egg.
