The Game Boy Micro is a redesigned Game Boy Advance. The focus of this redesign was the size of the unit.

The Game Boy Micro, unlike the Game Boy Advance or Game Boy Advance SP is unable to play games for the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Because of the significant changes in size and technology some Game Boy Advance attachments can't be used with the Game Boy Micro such as the eReader.
