Description
Gnawties are small beavers.
In the Games
Donkey Kong Country
In Donkey Kong Country, Gnawties are one of the most basic baddies in the game. They wander aimlessly around and have no real attacks. They can be easily defeated with simply a roll, a jump, or a barrel.
However, the game's temple levels feature Gnawties moving up and down in large stone wheels; these Gnawties cannot be defeated.
The game also features two oversized Gnawties as bosses, Very Gnawty in the Kongo Jungle and Really Gnawty in the Gorilla Glacier.
Donkey Kong Land
In Donkey Kong Land, Gnawties appear again. In this game, they are much the same as they were in Donkey Kong Country.
Donkey Kong 64
In Donkey Kong 64, Gnawties reappear. In this game, Gnawties appear larger and more brightly-colored (coming in cyan and yellow as opposed to dark green). They are still basic enemies, however, and can still be defeated easily using most attacks. When defeated, they drop one slice of watermelon health.
The game also features a mini-game, Beaver Bother!, in which the player takes control of a Klaptrap whose goal is to herd many Gnawties into a hole.
