Inkies are giant octopi.

In Banjo-Tooie, Inkies appear in various underwater passages in the Atlantis section of Jolly Roger's Lagoon. An Inky blocks the way by flailing its tentacles wildly, making it difficult to pass. They cannot be defeated, but the can be temporarily frozen with an Ice Egg to the face.
