Jungle Japes

Jungle Japes is the first world in Donkey Kong 64. This world is a generic Jungle level having a lake and a system of caves and mines. This level also features Gnawty, a recurring beaver enemy from the Donkey Kong series. Diddy Kong is first unlocked in this world.

Landmarks

• Termite Hill: A large termite mound sits atop Jungle Japes, allowing Diddy to access a system of mines deep below the Jungle.
• The Caves: Interwoven into the Jungle is a system of caves that help to break the monotonous Jungle theme, various puzzles and enemies are found within these caves, ultimately leading to other parts of the Jungle.
