K. Lumsy

K. Lumsy is a major character in the Donkey Kong series.

Biography

K. Lumsy is a gigantic, friendly, and incredibly klutzy Kremling who has been locked up by King K. Rool. He wears a small horned skull on the top of his head.

In the Games

Donkey Kong 64

In Donkey Kong 64, K. Lumsy appears in a small prison connected to K. Rool's ship. When Donkey Kong first enters, K. Lumsy sadly tells him that King K. Rool locked him up there because K. Lumsy refuses to harm anyone, and asks for DK's help. Donkey Kong agrees, which makes K. Lumsy dance with joy. Due to his size, it creates an earthquake that causes the boulder blocking the entrance to Jungle Japes on the DK Isles to explode, revealing a Golden Banana and the way to the level. From that point on, anytime one of the Kongs defeats a boss, they will earn a Boss Key. Bringing the Boss Key to K. Lumsy's prison will unlock one of the locks on his cage, causing him to celebrate and open the next level.

After the Kongs use the final Boss Key from Hideout Helm, K. Lumsy is able to escape his prison, and is able to knock down the ship that K. Rool tries to escape in. The ship crashes into the DK Isles, and entering it will allow the Kongs to face him in the game's final battle.
