Biography
King Zing is a large Zinger that lives in the Krazy Kremland area of Crocodile Isle. It is the fourth boss in the games Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2 It may be connected with the boss, Queen B, from Donkey Kong Country.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
The first time the player meets King Zing is in the level before the battle, Rambi Rumble. In the second half of this level the player must run away from King Zing as he chases the player across the level. King Zing is the first boss in the Donkey Kong Country series to be faught as an Animal Buddy. The player must control Squawks to fight King Zing. At first King Zing will fly around a set pattern. Once the player attacks his stinger twice, he becomes enraged and red. When he is red he is invinceable but when he is yellow he is vulnerable. He will shoot spikes in eight directions thrice before returning to his set pattern in his yellow form. Attacking him twice more will initiate the spikes again. Twice more after that will cause something different to happen after the spikes. King Zing will shrink to become an ordinarily sized red Zinger surrounded by four yellow Zingers. Once the player destroys these four protective Zingers, King Zing will become yellow and chase the player. If he is attacked thrice in this form he will finally be defeated giving the player a Kremkoin and access to Gloomy Gulch.
Donkey Kong Land 2
The battle against King Zing in this game is quite different from the one in Donkey Kong Country 2. The player controls Squawks and King Zing will fly around in a pattern. Once attacked he will become invincible and chase the player. When he is hurt the second time he does this again. However, after this he will also randomly drop Zingers as he continues this process. It will take a further three attacks to defeat him.
