Description
Klobbers are Kremlings that live in barrels. They are one of the few Kremling types with ears, and wear earrings and have one cheek bandaged up and one black eye. They also have large, sharp teeth.
In the Games
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Klobbers appear for the first time. From afar, they appear to be normal barrels, but when approached, they will stick out their head and feet and begin running into the player's character, bumping into them. In this game, Klobbers come in different varieties: green Klobbers simply bump into the player and push them back (but do not cause damage), yellow Klobbers do this while knocking Banana Bunches out of the player's character and dark grey Klobbers knock Extra Life Balloons out of the player's character. There are also Klobbers in TNT Barrels, which are known as Kabooms. Klobbers can easily be defeated by bouncing on their heads and then destroying the barrel they live in, or by tricking them into running off an edge into a bottomless pit.
There is also a level in the Lost World based around Klobbers, Klobber Karnage.
Donkey Kong Land 2
Donkey Kong 64
In Donkey Kong 64, regular green Klobbers appear in a few levels, albeit infrequently. They can be found in Angry Aztec, Gloomy Galleon, and Crystal Caves. In this game, regular Klobbers DO cause damage when they knock into the player's character. When chasing the player, Klobbers will commonly say "Come on!" in a high-pitched, raspy voice. Klobbers are invulnerable to most attacks in this game, but are weak to Orange grenades, shockwave attacks, and music attacks.
