List of cheats in Banjo-Tooie

This is a list of cheats in Banjo-Tooie . These are entered in the Code Chamber in Mayahem Temple. Most (but not all) must be activated on the cheat list within the chamber after being entered. Codes are in all capitals and bolded, with the effects listed after them.

"Official" cheats

These are codes given to the player officially by characters in the game.

Cheato

Cheats given out by Cheato. The player earns one each time five of Cheato's pages are returned to him. Additionally, these codes can be entered backwards if the player hasn't returned the required amount of pages but "CHEATO" must be entered first.

• FEATHERS: Double the amount of red and gold feathers the player can carry. Unlocked after returning five pages total.
• EGGS: Doubles the amount of eggs (all types) the player can carry. Unlocked after returning ten pages total.
• FALLPROOF: Allows the player to fall from great heights without taking damage. Unlocked after returning fifteen pages total.
• HONEYBACK: Depleted health slowly refills after time. Unlocked after returning twenty pages total.
• JUKEBOX: Fixes the jukebox in Jolly's pub, allowing the player to listen to the game's musical tracks. Unlocked after returning twenty-five pages total.

Others

These are codes given to the player by other means. These can also be entered backwards, if the player types in "CHEATO" first.

• GET JIGGY: Given to you randomly by Madame Grunty in Witchyworld. Once activated, the player can read the Jiggy hints on the signs for each level in Jiggywiggy's Temple.
• HOMING: Given to the player by Heggy after hatching one of the Stop 'n' Swop eggs. Makes egg ammuniation home in on the nearest enemy.
• NESTKING: Implied by a riddle on a sign behind Jiggywiggy's. ("An egg container followed by Jingaling?") Gives the player infinite eggs and feather (egg/feather totals appear as simply "LOTS").
  NOTE: Activating the NESTKING code in the Xbox Live Arcade port of Banjo-Tooie will disable saving, Leaderboards and Achievements for the current play session (until the game is restarted).

"Unofficial" cheats

These are codes within the game that are not given out or metioned in-game. They were found through hacking by Ice Mario and SubDrag.

NOTE: Activating the following codes in the Xbox Live Arcade port of Banjo-Tooie will disable saving, Leaderboards and Achievements for the current play session (until the game is restarted).

• CHEATO HONEYKING: Gives the player infinite health (the player's health bars also disappear).
• CHEATO JIGGYWIGGY SPECIAL: Opens all the world doors in the Isle o' Hags without the required Jiggy total.
• CHEATO PLAY IT AGAIN SON: Unlocks everything in the Replay menu. Does not need to be activated on the cheat menu and cannot be deactivated.
• CHEATO SUPER BANJO: Makes all playable characters much faster.
• CHEATO SUPER BADDY: Makes all baddies much faster.
• CHEATO JIGGYS CAST LIST: Unlocks the Cast List (normally unlocked by collecting 90 Jiggies.)
