List of cheats in Donkey Kong Country 2

This is a list of cheats in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. These are push-button codes which are entered at the mode select screen ("One Player," "Two Player Team," "Two Player Contest.")

• SOUND TEST: Allows the player to listen to the game's music. To activate the sound test, highlight the Two Player Contest option, and then press Down five times.
• CHEAT MODE: Allows the player to input cheats. To activate the cheat mode, highlight the Sound Test option and press Down another five times.
• YA SAD LAD: This cheat gives the player 50 extra lives. To activate this cheat, highlight the Cheat Mode option and press Y, A, Select, A, Down, Left, A, Down.
• BARRAL AX: This cheat removes all the DK Barrels in the game and starts the player off with both Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong at the beginning of every stage. To activate this cheat, highlight the Cheat Mode option and press B, A, Right, Right, A, Left, A, X.

Game Boy Advance version

The Game Boy Advance port of Donkey Kong Country 2 features a different set of cheats, listed below. These codes are entered at the game's Cheats menu.

• ONETIME: Allows the player to listen to the game's music.
• HELPME: Starts the player off with 15 extra lives.
• WEAKLING: Starts the player off 50 extra lives.
• RICHMAN: Starts the player off with 10 Banana Coins.
• WELLRICH: Starts the player off with 50 Banana Coins.
• WELLARD: Removes all of the DK Barrels in the game.
• ROCKARD: Removes all of the DK Barrels and Continue Barrels in the game.
• FREEDOM: Opens every level in the game.
• KREDITS: Displays the game's staff credit roll.
