Descriptions

Manky Kongs are barrel-tossing orangutans that are hostile to the Kong clan. According to the game's manual, they are "rejects" of the family.^[1]

Donkey Kong Country

In Donkey Kong Country, Manky Kongs appear as relatively uncommon baddies. They attack Donkey and Diddy Kong by tossing barrels and Steel Kegs, causing them to roll on the ground at high speed.

One of the game's longest levels, Orang-utan Gang, features the Manky Kongs prominently.

Trivia

• Lanky Kong, an orangutan relative of the Kongs with a similar name, appears as a playable Kong in Donkey Kong 64.
