Description
Minjos are the evil counterparts and arch-enemies of the Jinjos. Visually, Minjos are almost indistinguishable from Jinjos. They also seem have a power over electricity (their main attack is running at the player while electrically-charged).
In the Games
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, the first time a Minjo in the game is found in the Western Zone of Witchyworld, near the silo where Jamjars teaches Banjo the Pack Whack, and from that point on they are found in nearly every following level. In this game, Minjos stand around in much the same manner as Jinjos, whistling, waving and calling for the player's attention. When approached, however, they growl fiercely and spark as they charge at the player, trying to attack them. Minjos can typically be defeated with simple attacks, such as the Beak Barge or Rat-a-Tat Rap. An easy way to tell a Minjo from a Jinjo without approaching it is to use the Egg Aim to shoot an Egg at it. If the Egg hits the creature, it's a Minjo, but if it just flies through it, it's a Jinjo.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Minjos return. While they still look similar to Jinjos, they have gone through noticeable changes. Minjos in this game have red eyes, sharp teeth, and wear a prison uniform with handcuffs on their wrists and an earring in one ear. When a wrongfully-imprisoned Jinjo is rescued from jail in Showdown Town, a Minjo will appear near the jail. The Minjo must be captured and put back into jail in the Jinjo's place. Each time a Minjo is imprisoned, Pikelet pays Banjo with Musical Notes.
